Later, people would say that, by day, she healed bodies as a doctor, and by night, she healed souls with her singing, with her fado.
This is how she became a fado singer and ul mately chose to focus solely on healing souls, something she has done for many years now. However, it was in 2000 that she truly gave her soul, her light, her voice, and her song to Fado.
25 years later, she is recognized as one of the most important fado singers of the new millennium and, above all, as an ambassador of fado and of Portugal in the most diverse international cultural circles.

She is acknowledged as one of the most notable representatives of Portuguese culture globally and one of the most brilliant singers of her generation.
The awards and honors she has received throughout her career are a testament to her invaluable contributions on to the dissemination on of Portuguese culture and to raising Portugal’s profile internationally.
